How to Join the DAR
We are excited and very happy that you are wanting to join the NSDAR and the Carolina Gold Chapter! You’re sure to have many questions, including :
- Who is eligible?
- How do I get started?
Eligibility: Any woman who is 18 years of age and up, and has a proven lineal, blood descent from an ancestor who either provided assistance to or served in military service during the Revolutionary War, meets membership qualifications.
Getting started: We are a fun and diverse group of women and we want to meet you! Please join us at a monthly meeting.
You will need to gather your family history information with proof sources for birth, marriage, and death. Proof of your patriot’s service is also required. Please visit the National Society’s Become a Member page for detailed information.
But, don’t worry! If you need help, our chapter registrar is just an email away. After you’ve gathered your paperwork, contact us and the registrar will arrange a meeting with you to review your lineage history.
